An performance exhibition “Rodchenko. Art revolutionary from Kazan" is open in the Russian Centre in Brussels. In the exhibition halls of the RCSC you will find, paintings, photographs, posters and even evening dresses made in the style of the avant-garde.
Alexander Rodchenko was a painter, graphic artist, poster artist, sculptor, photographer, theater and film artist. One of the pioneers of the Russian avant-garde in the style of constructivism, the world-renowned genius of photography. He, along with other famous representatives of Russian futurism, is considered the founder of the art of performance. He questioned the traditionally established beliefs about culture and constantly invented something new. The founder of propaganda and advertising in the USSR in the style of constructivism, Rodchenko was one of the most unusual and versatile talented creators of the first half of the 20th century.
Visitors of the exhibition will be able to see how great the contribution of Alexander Rodchenko to the development of 20th-century art is, will be convinced that his works are relevantin the 21st century, and also learn about new contemporary Russian artists.
