A big Christmas concert was held at the Russian Centre in Brussels. Accompanied by maestro Andrei Shevchuk, the soloist of the Concerto grosso Foundation, laureate of All-Russian and International competitions, Victoria Zyablitskaya performed arias from operas by Russian and European composers, romances and Russian folk songs, everything that gives us a Christmas mood and a charge of festive energy!
The concert ended with Rossini's comic “Duet for two Cats”. This is a parody of the traditional love duets from Italian operas: at the beginning mutual reproaches and languid sighs are obligatory, and then comes the joy of love and the delight of united hearts. Andrey Shevchuk and Victoria Zyablitskaya interpreted this work in their own way, adding even more humor to it and they really pleased the audience.
