The grand opening of the exhibition “The Magic of Watercolors” by Sergei Andriaka took place at the Russian Centre in Brussels. Talking about the exposition, the famous artist noted that still lifes, landscapes and architecture of different countries are presented in it.
According to Andriaka, nature and architecture were depicted according to preliminary field sketches, that is, from memory. And still lifes, flowers - are written completely from nature.
He also noted that the technique of watercolor painting is very complex; nothing can be fixed in it. The artist has to have a clear idea of the final result of the work. All works are painted with paints without a preliminary pencil drawing on a sheet.
After the ceremony, Sergey Andriyaka himself conducted a tour of the exhibition.
The exposition presents about 40 works. It will be open in the Russian Centre until March 25.
